This weekend my friend had a baby and her little sister asked me what it meant to induce labor.
This was the conversation we had.
Anna: why did Kate have to go into the hospital?
Me: the baby that is in her stomach is not wanting to come out so they had to induce labor.
Anna: what does induce mean?
Me: well since the baby doesn't want to come out they had to bring it on and start it for Kate.
